A baby boy is dead and seven people were injured, including three children, in a two-car crash on the Dan Ryan Monday night.
It happened at about 6:45 p.m. in the outbound lanes near 75th Street, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
One of the cars reportedly rolled over and ejected the children, who were not in child seats or wearing seatbelts, according to the newspaper.
One of children and two adults were listed in critical condition, according to Chicago Fire Department media affairs director Larry Langford.
Traffic was slow in the area as emergency personnel shut down the lanes in order to investigate and clear the scene.
