Burned Furniture Store to Reopen

Owners looking for a temporary location

A Chicago furniture store destroyed by a fire last week plans to rebuild and continue serving its customers until then, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Roy's Furniture Store was deemed a total loss after the fire. Sections of the destroyed store had to be razed to avoid potential damage and disruption on "L " tracks.

For now, the store's owners are looking for a temporary storefront near the former store, spokeswoman Johanna Parra told the Tribune.

The store plans to continue deliveries as planned and work from their warehouse, Parra added.

Store owners plan to have the store re-opened by late summer or early fall.
