Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn is on a secret mission ... in Iraq.  Well, it WAS a secret.

The U.S. Defense Department invited Quinn and four other governors to go to the war zone.

They spent the weekend meeting with soldiers and military leaders.

Quinn said they're obviously concerned about the war efforts, but they're also worried abou the economic problems back here at home.

"We've got to have work for hardworking people," Quinn said. "When our veterans come home, they're so well trained, they have such discipline, they know how to work as a team. These are excellent, excellent employees. We've gotta make sure they have a job."

Quinn said he's truely in awe of the soldiers and thinks it's important that he personally thank them.
