Back before she was J. Lo, Jennifer Lopez was part of the "In Living Color" dance troupe known as the Fly Girls.
You could be forgiven for thinking J. Lo might be too busy with "American Idol," commercials and a certain new tabloid-ready flame to think back much on her old days back on "In Living Color."
But the one-time Jenny from the Block is eager to become a Fly Girl once again, the Latin pop star told AccessHollywood on Sunday.
The seminal '80s-'90s sketch comedy show, the brainchild of Keenen Ivory Wayans, is set for a reboot this spring on FOX with a series of two half-hour specials.
"If [Wayans] called me and wanted me to do something, that would be awesome," J. Lo gushed.
"I owe Keenen a lot. From the beginning of my career, he always believed in me," she continued. She got her start on the show, as did Hollywood heavies like Jim Carrey and Jamie Foxx.
So far, it's unclear who (Carrey? Foxx? More Wayanses?) will be involved in the show's new specials — but Keenen Ivory Wayans is set to be executive producer and host.
Whoever shows up as a special guest, the show is already culling undiscovered comic talent from far and wide, with auditions in Chicago starting last month.
