Justin Timberlake's Race Car Wins Indy 500

Looks like Renaissance man James Franco's got competition. Singer/actor/designer Justin Timberlake added "Indy 500 winner" to his list of accomplishments Sunday, when the race car sponsored by his William Rast clothing line won the race, Us Magazine reports.

English driver Dan Wheldon, 32, finished first place in the Indianapolis race after driver J.R. Hildebrand crashed in the final lap.

"What a Memorial Day weekend! The William Rast car just won the Indy 500!!!!," Timberlake tweeted. "Congrats to Dan Wheldon, the WR racing team and everyone else who put in the hard work for this victory! Unreal!"

This is the fourth year William Rast has been a sponsor in the race, according to Radar Online.

JT and his childhood best friend Trace Ayala started denim label William Rast in 2005. The company's name is a combination of their grandfathers' names. The company's website describes their clothing as "grounded in the iconography of American denim heritage and biker culture, yet re-packaged and presented in a contemporary context."

The American Apparel & Footwear Association named William Rast "Brand of the Year" in April.
