Lindsay Lohan Close to First Post-Rehab Gig

"Inferno" may have fallen through, but producer Nathan Folks is confident she'll star in his drama

Lindsay Lohan may have landed her first post-rehab gig.

Producer Nathan Folks told RadarOnline that while nothing has been set in ink, he is confident the troubled actress is committed to star as a detective in his drama, "Escaping the Game."

"She wants to do it," Folks told the website, adding he's confident the "Mean Girls" star will stay sober and out of trouble.

"We can get her insured if she is with someone who is keeping an eye on her 24/7," Folks said. "Lindsay and I've discussed it and she's already agreed to the condition."

The movie, which would be filmed in the U.S. and Spain, sounds like something the tabloid magnet can relate to.

"It's about celebs who become very famous and can't take it," Folks explained, adding that in the film celebrities fake their own deaths to create a new life for themselves on a remote island. Lohan would play a detective who investigates their disappearances.

The actress would allegedly star alongside Chris Zylka, who is currently working on "The Amazing Spider-Man" with Andrew Garfield. Folks said he helped the two get together for a night out to see Jordanian-American singer-songwriter Ferras. After the concert, the actress hinted at the new role on Twitter.

"Went to see my friend @ohferras perform and was talking to a future costar- just to be bombarded by paparrazzi- so much for being normal- im now winded and headed home* #ihatetheattentionfrompaps [sic]" the star tweeted.

"Escaping the Game" isn't Lohan's first post-rehab offer. Director Matthew Wilder touted the actress as his starring gal for porn star biopic "Inferno" for months, even putting the movie on hold while she was in rehab through January. Despite the publicity photos and interviews, the movie dropped Lohan for "Watchmen" starlet Malin Akerman when they couldn't wait for her any longer.

CBS had also announced that the troubled actress would be announcing the Top Ten on "The Late Show With David Letterman," but that ended up being a misunderstanding.

Now, with a grand theft charge looming over her head for a necklace she pleaded not guilty to stealing earlier this month, the 24-year-old starlet could potentially face jail. Folks told RadarOnline he's prepared to do a movie without her in case she ends up in the slammer, but doesn't think that will happen.

"She's doing great and we're going to prove to the world that she's back," he said.
