See It: 5-Minute Sequence of Scarlett Johansson's ‘Ghost in the Shell' Before It Hits Theaters

Curious about Scarlett Johansson in the upcoming sci-fi thriller "Ghost in the Shell"? Well, now you don't have to wait. Paramount revealed a nearly 5-minute long sequence from the controversial film Wednesday.

"Ghost in the Shell" has come under fire for placing Johansson in the leading role. The film, a live-action version of Japanese anime, had been used as an example of white-washing across social media.

In the March issue of Marie Claire, Johansson addressed the controversy directly.

"I certainly would never presume to play another race of a person. Diversity is important in Hollywood, and I would never want to feel like I was playing a character that was offensive," she told the magazine.  "Also, having a franchise with a female protagonist driving it is such a rare opportunity. Certainly, I feel the enormous pressure of that—the weight of such a big property on my shoulders."
