4-Year-Old Leukemia Patient Sings “God Bless America” at Fenway Park Red Sox Game

She had been practicing every day for her spotlight moment

Boston Red Sox fans saw a very special performance of "God Bless America" Tuesday night at Fenway Park.

Darla Holloway, a 4-year-old suffering from acute lymphoblastic leukemia, performed an inspiring rendition of the song during the seventh-inning stretch of the Red Sox-Orioles game.

Her performance was sponsored by the WEEI-NESN Jimmy Fund Radio Telethon that has raised more than $1 million for cancer care and research, according to Boston.com. The fund is a longtime associate of the Red Sox baseball team.

Although Darla has been undergoing chemotherapy treatments,  she said on WEEI’s Mut & Merloni that she had been practicing every day for her big performance.
