Sofia Vergara has more than just a birthday milestone to celebrate.
The "Modern Family" actress reportedly got engaged to her beau Nick Loeb while celebrating her 40th birthday in Mexico, a source confirmed to Us Weekly.
Loeb, who considered a 2010 run for Florida's state senate, proposed to the actress while visiting Chichen Itza, a collection of Mayan ruins near the resort where Vergara and her group of birthday revelers were staying, Us reported.
On Monday, a friend of Vergara posted a photo on Twitter of the actress sporting a diamond sparkler on her ring finger. One source told People the couple was engaged, but other sources told the news outlet Vergara did not consider herself engaged.
Vergara and Loeb first met in 2010 at a Golden Globes party, but parted ways in May. According to People, the couple rekindled their romance in June.
This will be Vergara's second marriage. She was previously married to Joe Gonzalez, with whom she has a 20-year-old son, Manolo. Vergara and Gonzalez divorced in 1993.
