Kardashian Sisters Sued for $75M in Debit Card Debacle

A swipe of the debit card won’t make this charge go away.

Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe Kardashian are being sued for $75 million for allegedly backing out of an agreement to promote a prepaid debit card bearing their image, according to court documents.

In November, the stylish sisters launched the Kardashian Prepaid Mastercard—a debit card featuring a photo of the smiling, buxom brunettes. (Khloe has since gone red).

The card’s hidden fees brought the reality TV stars a lot of bad publicity, so they allegedly stopped promoting the card starting Nov. 29.

The company that hired the business-savvy beauties to be the face of their marketing campaign was less than pleased when the trio backed out.

Revenue Resource Group says the Kardashians signed a two-year contract and that RRG got their own batch of bad publicity between the hidden fees and losing the sisters.

RRG was reluctant to sue, but decided to file a complaint in Fresno, Calif. on Thursday, according to E! News.

"The company waited a month to file hoping this would work out. They didn't want to sue," RRG head attorney Scott Rudd told E! News.

The alleged breach of contract “effectively put this company out of business,” Rudd added.

The Kardashians have yet to release a statement about the lawsuit. A case management hearing is scheduled for May 2.
