Enough Already: Marine Asks Out Betty White via YouTube

White says she declines but is "deeply flattered and truly appreciate[s] the invitation, as everyone knows I love a man in uniform"

Once was hilarious. Twice was amusing. Three times? This shark has officially been jumped.

On the heels of Sgt. Scott Moore's successful attempt to ask out "Friends With Benefits" star Mila Kunis, and then Cpl. Kelsey De Santis taking the opportunity to make a play for her co-star Justin Timberlake, we have Sgt. Ray Lewis.

The object of his affection? "Hot in Cleveland" star Betty White. (Wouldn't "Benefits" star Patricia Clarkson have been more appropriate?)

Clearly aware that anything involving White instantly becomes an internet sensation, Lewis made his move on the 90 year-old comic actress.

Running full tilt and struggling to catch his breath, Lewis performs a serious of physical challenges in the video before addressing White. He identifies himself as Sgt. Ray Lewis, "Yeah, like the football player. And I know you love football players."

A quick uniform change and a rose later, Lewis makes his pitch.

Late Monday, Lewis received his reply.

“I am deeply flattered and truly appreciate the invitation, as everyone knows I love a man in uniform ... but unfortunately I cannot accept, as I will be taping an episode of ‘Hot In Cleveland,” White said in a statement to Access Hollywood.

If any other Marine with a camera and a dream has the notion to ask out...whoever. We urge you to stop.
