    It's that time of year again to soak up the holiday season, and no better way to enjoy the city than spending time outdoors.

    There are a number of outdoor ice skating rinks at public parks and destinations you can visit this winter:

     

    Skating Ribbon at Maggie Daley Park

    337 E. Randolph St. (The Loop)

    Season Begins: Nov. 25, weather permitting

    Hours: Monday through Thursday 12-8 p.m., Friday 12-10 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.-10p.m., Sunday 10 a.m.-8 p.m.

    Admission: Free

    Rentals: $12/rental Monday through Thursday, $14/rental Friday through Sunday and holidays (Skate rentals end 30 minutes before close)

    McCormick Tribune Ice Rink at Millennium Park

    11 N. Michigan Ave. (The Loop)

    Season Begins: Nov. 18

    Hours: Monday through Thursday 12-8 p.m., Friday 12-10 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.-10p.m., Sunday 10 a.m.-9 p.m.

    Admission: Free

    Rentals: $12/rental

    Admission: Children 17 & under are free, Adults $4, Seniors and Military $2

    Mt. Greenwood Ice Rink
