The Buzz: Unes is serving his first term as representative in the 91st District. Unes has a background in computer networking and is a former member of the Peoria City Council where he oversaw finances for the city and served as mayor pro-tem. He also started a literacy campaign for his county's Head Start program.
He is looking to reform state government ethics and attract employers back to Illinois.
