The Race: Republican Party Candidate for Illinois State Representative in the 45th District
The Competition: JoAnn Franzen
The Buzz: While still in law school, Reboletti started a write-in campaign and was elected soon after as 2nd Ward alderman in the city of Elmhurst. Reboletti is now a licensed attorney who began as a prosecutor before he was appointed assistant attorney general under former Attorney General Jim Ryan. He then served as assistant state's attorney where he worked as a criminal prosecutor.
Reboletti has represented the 46th district since 2007. He has been outspoken in his poisitions against the Occupy movement as well as speaking in favor of the expulsion of Rep. Derrick Smith.
