Bruce Willis is an ex-CIA operative who gets the old gang back together when it turns out The Company wants to retire them permanently. Co-stars Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren, John Malkovich, Ernest Borgnine (!) and Karl Urban. Coming Oct. 15.
When Bruce Willis first started shooting "Red" back in January, we were intrigued. When the first trailer dropped, we were thrilled. Now another trailer is here and it's done nothing to temper our enthusiasm.
In addition to Willis, the film stars Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich, Helen Mirren, Mary-Louise Parker, Karl Urban, Brian Cox, Richard Dreyfuss and Ernest Borgnine. There's gotta be something to this, right?
“Red” is the story of Frank Moses (Willis), a former black-ops CIA agent, who is now living a quiet life. That is, until the day a hi-tech assassin shows up intent on killing him. With his identity compromised and the life of the woman he cares for, Sarah (Parker), endangered, Frank reassembles his old team (Freeman, Malkovich and Mirren) in a last ditch effort to survive.
Yes, it all sounds a little trite, but the trailers look great, the cast is loaded... it's hard to believe that the director of "The Time Traveler's Wife" was beind the camera for this one.
