NBC Announces Roster of Olympic Commentators Bound for Sochi

Lowe, Patrick, Costas will all serve as in-studio hosts during the games

As the Sochi Winter Olympics draw ever closer, NBC has announced the broadcasters that they will be sending to cover the event in Russia.

An All-Star team of studio hosts, including Dan Patrick, Rebecca Lowe, Al Michaels, and of course Bob Costas will be heading overseas for the games, which kick off with opening ceremonies on February 6th.

Joining that group in Sochi will be a large contingent of hockey experts, who will augment NBC’s coverage of both the men’s and women’s tournaments. Included in that group is Chicago Blackhawks color commentator Eddie Olczyk, who will be teamed up with his regular NBC partners Doc Emrick and Pierre McGuire in Sochi.

Also going will be former Blackhawks standout (and current NBC contributor) Jeremy Roenick, who will be joined by his studio teammates Liam McHugh, Mike Milbury, and Keith Jones. Kathryn Tappen of NHL Network will join McHugh as a co-host of the hockey coverage, and three-time Olympic medalist Natalie Darwitz will serve as an analyst for the women’s tournament.
