Suburban Man Arrested After Attempting to Meet Young Girl for Sex

A Schaumburg man didn’t quite expect to be met by an undercover officer when he attempted to meet a young girl for sex in west suburban Carol Steam.

Joseph Morganti, 23, was charged Friday with indecent solicitation of a child, a class 3 felony, according to a Carol Stream police release WBBM reported.

The undercover Carol Steam police officer posed as a 15-year-old girl through online exhanges.  Morganti allegedly expressed interest in meeting the girl for sex.

Morganti was taken to DuPage County Jail for a bond hearing following his arrest.
