Thursday next week, the Chicago Chamber of Commerce is holding a free seminar on executing far more effective email marketing. Inc. Well contributor Steve Robinson will be spilling the beans on what he knows on the topic, which is plenty -- which is also partly why he writes for us.

Anyway, Steve will be discussing from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at the CCC on 200 E. Randolph St. a number of different aspects associated with email marketing. Those aspects include: building your email marketing list, tips on how to assure your emails get opened, best practices, tracking your results and what permission-based email marketing is. So, all in all, sounds like plenty to pack your brain, a chance to network and it won't cost a single dollar. That's what's called a win-win. To register for it, hop over here. If you want to read more information about it still, that's available here.

David Wolinsky is a freelance writer and a lifelong Chicagoan. In addition to currently serving as an interviewer-writer for Adult Swim, he's also a columnist for EGM. He was the Chicago city editor for The Onion A.V. Club where he provided in-depth daily coverage of this city's bustling arts/entertainment scene for half a decade. When not playing video games for work he's thinking of dashing out to Chicago Diner, Pizano's, or Yummy Yummy. His first career aspirations were to be a game-show host.
