We here at Inc. Well can only do so much for budding and enterprising entrepreneurs.
Fact of the matter is, there's no substitute for old-fashioned networking and in-person schmoozing. That's why we're recommending you at least consider checking out the 2011 Small Business Summit Chicago taking place May 3 from 9 a.m. 'til 1:30 p.m.
The summit is aimed at business owners with less than 100 employees, and will tackle issues like controlling costs, keeping more of your revenue, health-care benefits.
It'll run a cool $50, but the information dished out is likely to be worth far more than that. You can learn more about registration here, but just bear in mind: It's up in Bannockburn, Illinois, which is about a 45-minute drive north of the city. That still leaves you plenty of time to load up on gas and chart a course over the weekend, though.
