Browns' Gordon in Minor Car Crash

Wide receiver cleared to play in game against Chicago Bears

Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon was involved in a minor car accident Saturday, but was cleared to play against the Chicago Bears.

Gordon was a passenger in his SUV and on his way to the team's training complex when the car swerved in snowy weather to avoid hitting another vehicle. Team spokesman Zak Gilbert said Gordon was not injured in the road mishap. He was checked by medical personnel.

Gordon was able to attend team meetings and was in the starting lineup Sunday.

Gordon has amassed 774 yards receiving in the past four games -- an NFL record for a four-game stretch. Gordon leads the league with 1,400 yards this season -- also a team record -- and is averaging 127.3 yards per game.

He entered Sunday's game needing 88 yards to break Calvin Johnson's five-game receiving record of 861 yards.
