Chicago Bear Gives Teen Tickets to Super Bowl

J.T. Thomas makes a surprise visit to a teen with epilepsy

A Chicago teenager's dream of attending Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis is coming true thanks to Chicago Bears player.

On Saturday Chicago Bears linebacker J.T. Thomas surprised 14-year-old Anthony Granberry, who is epileptic, with two tickets to the game at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Granberry developed epilepsy at the age of 7 and has spent much of his time in the hospital. He met Thomas during a holiday party for youth.

The Super Bowl will be Granberry's first time going to a football game.

The surprise marked the final stop for Thomas who was on a tour to raise awareness of epilepsy, a brain disorder that causes repeated seizures.

Thomas also gave Granberry a scholarship grant to attend Camp Blackhawk, a week-long retreat for kids and teens with Epilepsy. The Camp is hosted by the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago.
