Producer Scouts: South Beach's Townhouse Hotel

Producer Maureen Giannone hits the streets to take on the arduous task of scouting the country's hottest destinations for upcoming episodes of 1st Look on NBC. Here's what she found this week.

Personally, while vacationing, stilettos and clubs aren't my scene. But when in Miami, you kind of have to follow suit. My secret to surviving the constant glam of this flashy city is Townhouse hotel in South Beach.

Whether in town for business or leisure, this hotel exudes holiday with its clean and crisp white-linen decor, peaceful atmosphere, and its noteworthy dining and lounge scene. In your room, you're greeted by a red-and-white signature beach ball to match the mod-chic vibe. Relaxation starts immediately with the scent of that ocean breeze and your gloriously oversized bed and shower. Even with the beach steps away (and in-house Beach Cruiser rentals!), it's hard to leave your suite behind.

In terms of dining, Nobu is usually a front-runner in any city where it rolls in. But in the cellar of the Townhouse, one of Miami's best-kept secrets for sushi is BONDST. An outpost of the famous Manhattan restaurant, BONDSt's Chef Mike Hiraga takes customers on a journey of flavors and ingredients. Zagat Miami says for "fabulously creative sushi" with "the best sushi tuna on the planet," eat at BONDST.

And finally, in the Miami heat, you can't miss the Townhouse rooftop lounge. By day, head upstairs to enjoy the sun on wonderful chaise beds and canopies. And by night, the heat continues on this rooftop when it transforms into one of the city's hippest social scenes with famed parties both Thursday and Saturday nights. Aside from the tight beats and delicious drinks, you've got to see this view.

Tune in to the "Best of Hotel Scenes" on 1st Look this Saturday after Saturday Night Live on NBC.
