New Law Honors Girl Who Died After Swallowing a Button Battery

A Texas mother has turned her pain into purpose, helping to pass a law in honor of her young daughter who died after accidentally ingesting a button battery. The law passed earlier this month, and Illinois Congresswoman Robin Kelly played a key role. They celebrated the passage today at Lurie Children’s Hospital. NBC 5’s Kate Chappell reports.
