‘Let's Set the Record Straight': Pritzker Addresses Illinois Safe-T Act Being Dubbed ‘Purge Law' Online

Some on social media have dubbed Illinois SAFE-T Act a so-called “purge law,” likening it to the horror film “The Purge,” in which criminal activity of all kinds is allowed for 12 hours. Others have claimed it will lead to “non-detainable offenses,” claim legislators and Gov. J.B. Pritzker have said is false.
