Heightened Security in Springfield, at US Capitol Ahead of Inauguration

Heightened security measures remained in place at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C., and at the Illinois Capitol in Springfield on Monday after a weekend that saw few incidents or protests despite threats of action ahead of President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration this week.
