Chicago Says Goodbye to Legendary WVON-AM Disc Jockey Pervis Spann

Pervis Spann was known as “the blues man,” changing not only the airwaves of Chicago but the nation, promoting some of the biggest African American artists of his time. Chicago on Wednesday said goodbye to the 89-year-old legend at Apostolic Church of God in Chicago’s Woodlawn neighborhood. NBC 5’s Chris Hush reports.
