Asiaha Butler: ‘Our Community Should Not Look Like This'

Asiaha Butler, president of Resident Association of Greater Englewood (RAGE), works with people in her community to help them buy a home, but she said most find it impossible. “We can’t get a leg up,” she said. “Every decade, we try, we get there and then we get knocked back down. And it really hurts, and it’s trauma attached to it of just being Black.”
