Briggs: I Don't Regret What I Said

The Bears’ linebacker doesn’t feel bad about his take on women.

Nearly 22 years after the NFL granted equal locker room access to female sports reporters, the issue is back on the table because of a snafu in New York when a comely journalist endured cat calls from naked NFLers.

Wednesday, Bears linebacker Lance Briggs said to Grizzly Detail he thought women should be barred from the locker room as a rule.

Thursday he was defending his opinion.

"I don't regret what I said," Briggs said at a press conference at Halas Hall. "My statement is that the men's locker room is for men and the women's locker room is for women. I mean no disrespect towards Peggy because we’ve never had a problem in our locker room.

Still no word from Lovie Smith, Jerry Angelo or the Bears Organization.
