Rockies players go on Wrigleyville coffee run in uniforms originally appeared on NBC Sports Chicago
The Cubs and Rockies had a long afternoon scheduled Wednesday, with a split doubleheader starting at 1:20 p.m. after Tuesday night's rainout.
The players will need their energy, and what better way to prepare for the day than a cup of coffee?
The Rockies sent a group of their young players, dressed in their full uniforms, on a morning coffee run to Wrigleyville's Do-Rite Donuts.
The full-uniform coffee run is a classic sight in baseball, certainly in Wrigleyville. The Marlins sent a group of rookies to Dunkin' before a game against the Cubs earlier this season.
