Bears cuts tracker ahead of 53-man roster deadline originally appeared on NBC Sports Chicago
It's NFL roster cut down day, which means franchises around the country will have to trim their training camp rosters from 80 players to 53.
And that includes the Chicago Bears.
To get to last week's 80-player roster limit, the Bears waived offensive lineman Badara Traore, offensive lineman Dareuan Parker and running back CJ Marable. Veteran defensive lineman Mike Pennel and safety Jordan Lucas were placed on injured reserve, ending their seasons.
The Bears also waived Javon Wims on Thursday, bringing their roster to 79 players heading into Monday.
