Twitter Pans Renaming of Cellular Field, Speculates on Nicknames

Twitter users, as they're wont to do, were quick to dismiss the new name announced Wednesday for U.S. Cellular Field.

The stadium will become Guaranteed Rate Field on Nov. 1 as part of a new 13-year contract that the White Sox signed with the mortgage company, according to a statement released by the club.

From hypothesizing potential nicknames like "The G Spot," to lamenting the foreboding symbolism that is the logo of Guaranteed Rate, the ball field’s new namesake, the response has seemingly been mostly negative.
