Chicago White Sox Acquire Minor League Pitcher From Yankees

The Chicago White Sox have completed a traded with the New York Yankees, acquiring minor league pitcher Caleb Frare.

Frare, who has a 0.81 ERA and a 4-1 record in 32 minor league relief appearances this season, was recently promoted to Triple-A by the Yankees. He is holding opponents to a .182 batting average with runners in scoring position this season, according to the White Sox.

The White Sox announced that Frare will be assigned to their Triple-A club in Charlotte.

In exchange, the White Sox sent international signing bonus pool money to the Yankees. Shortly thereafter, the Yankees signed pitcher Osiel Rodriguez for $600,000. Rodriguez was the fifth-overall prospect, and the top-rated pitcher, on Baseball America's ranking of the best international prospects this year.
