Cubs Announce Sale Time for One-Game Playoff vs. Brewers

Tickets will be on sale via the team's website on Sunday night, and in person and over the phone Monday

Fans looking to secure tickets to the Chicago Cubs' one-game tiebreaker against the Milwaukee Brewers at Wrigley Field will have to act fast. 

Season ticket holders already had a chance to purchase tickets to the game, and other fans looking to buy tickets to the possible one-game playoff will be able to do so at 7:30 p.m. Sunday night.

Fans will be able to buy tiebreaker tickets online at that time, but there will also be a chance to purchase tickets in person at Wrigley Field. Those tickets will go on sale at the ticket office near the Wrigley Field marquee at 8:30 a.m. on Monday morning.

Down 3-1 in the series, the Cubs had their backs against the wall, but the heroes of October had one more trick up their sleeves, as Kyle Schwarber roared back, Jon Lester pitched a stellar relief gem in Game 7, and Ben Zobrist won MVP honors in an epic series win over the Cleveland Indians that ended the team’s 108 year championship drought.

The Cubs advanced to the NLCS for the third straight year with a five-game series win over the Washington Nationals, and the final game was downright crazy, as the nearly five-hour game resulted in 17 runs, 23 hits, and two critical Nationals errors in a 9-8 Cubs victory.

The Dodgers, the best team in the National League during the regular season, made sure to make quick work of the Cubs, avenging their 2016 defeat in a five-game series victory.

Fans will also be able to buy tickets via phone beginning at 8:30 a.m. Monday. Those fans looking to purchase tickets using that method are asked to call 1-800-THE-CUBS.

First pitch for the game is scheduled for 12:05 p.m. at the Friendly Confines. The winner of the game will advance to the National League Division Series, while the loser heads to the National League Wild Card Game on Tuesday night.
