I didn’t believe it at first, but many coaches say you should try smiling when you run. When the mileage gets tougher, you forget why you began this journey in the first place. 

I was told once; it’s a privilege to be able to run. Not everyone can do it. Embrace it. Enjoy it. 

It’s hard to think that way when you’re running in heat and humidity, but for the first time, I truly understand it. I felt that runner’s high when I hit 16 miles and it was amazing!
