White House to Take Over COVID Tracking From the CDC

White House officials are asking hospitals to bypass the nation’s top health agency in a bid to take over case tracking from the CDC. Hospitals are being asked to send daily reports to a new system set up by the administration in a move that some worry could lead to further politicization of the pandemic.
