Chris Kennedy is now thinking about running for governor, the Sun-Times has learned.
Kennedy has a history of considering political office, but has never run.
In May, the Sun-Times reported that Kennedy was thinking of running for the Senate.
“Chris is keeping all his options open," spokeswoman, Casey Madden said.
Lisa Madigan's announcement that she intends to stick with her current job, rather than run for Senate or governor, has opened the field to other candidates for both offices.
Chris Kennedy is the eighth child of Robert F. Kennedy and is president of the Merchandise Mart.
