Blago to Read Letterman's “Top Ten”

Former governor debuts on "Celebrity Apprentice" on Sunday

You don't have to wait until Sunday to see former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich on TV again.

In advance of his primetime debut on NBC's "Celebrity Apprentice" on Sunday, the former Illinois governor will head to the "Late Show w/ David Letterman" to read a classic "Top Ten."

"He had a blast the last time he was on the show and has a great deal of respect for David Letterman. He looks forward to being on the show again," said Glenn Selig, Blagojevich's spokesman and founder of The Publicity Agency.

Blagojevich appeared on the show 13 months ago, telling the host that he'd wanted "in the worst way for the longest time" to be on the show.

Letterman snapped back: "Well, you're on in the worst way, believe me!"

The former governor has been indicted on 24 counts of corruption in federal court, including racketeering, attempted extorition, bribery, conspiracy to commit bribery and conspiracy to commit extorition.

He maintains his innocence.

Barbara Walters, Olympic gold medal skater Evan Lysacek and Britney Spears have appeared on the show to read the 'Top Ten,' a fact that doesn't escape the media hungry Blago.

"That's quite a group to be a part of," said Selig. "He's honored and excited."

No word on what the list's topic will be, but bet on a couple of hair jokes and a few stabs at his ethical make-up.

Four days later, when "Celebrity Apprentice" debuts, Blagojevich will compete to raise money for his favorite charity, the Children's Cancer Center in Tampa.
