Mass Murderer Sues Prison Over Human Rights Treatment

Anders Behring Breivik, the right-wing extremist who killed 77 people in gun and bomb attacks in 2011, arrived at court in Skien on March 15, 2016, after filing legal proceedings against the Norwegian government. The 37-year-old is suing authorities for human rights violations after keeping him imprisoned in isolation. The government says the conditions Breivik faces in prison are “well within” what’s allowed under the European Convention on Human Rights.
