The chief negotiator from the Senate on a health care bill said he won't wait much longer for a Republican compromise -- and that a final draft of the bill will be coming soon from the legislative body.
"I am committed to getting health care reform done -- done soon and done right," Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus said in a statement.
Baucus said on a teleconference Friday he's considering making a formal proposal to the rest of the bipartisan "Gang of Six," a group of negotiators from his committee that has been struggling for the better part of the year to appease both Republicans and Democrats with the bill.
President Obama will address a joint session of Congress Wednesday to boost health care reform.
