Danisha Jackson wants to stand out at her prom. So she decided to create her own dress and pulled her inspiration from fashion that was hot off the presses. The teen enlisted the help of designer Clarice Thomas to create a one of a kind dress constructed of old newspaper from the Philadelphia Inquirer and Daily News. The duo stitched the paper clippings to muslin, a base fabric used to construct many dresses. Thomas says the dress is just like any other in how it moves and falls, but Danisha knows this dress is far from ordinary.
