Giffords: “Be Bold, Be Courageous”

Wounded former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords urged Congress to “be bold, be courageous” in its efforts to combat gun violence at a Senate panel hearing Wednesday. “Speaking is difficult, but I need to say something important: Violence is a big problem. Too many children are dying. Too many children,” she said, speaking firmly and deliberately in her opening remarks to the year’s first congressional hearing on curbing gun violence.
