Yellow Brick Road Honors ‘Wizard of Oz' Author in Chicago

A 200-foot-long yellow brick road will honor “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” author L. Frank Baum. The “Oz” author lived in Chicago’s Humboldt Park neighborhood when he wrote the classic tale in 1899. The Bickerdike Redevelopment Corporation tweeted the sidewalk art honors Baum on the former site of his home. The yellow brick road is located at Humboldt Boulevard and Wabansia Avenue.
