There doesn’t seem to be any relief form the dangerous cold and the health dangers grow after four consecutive days of bitter temperatures. NBC 5’s Natalie Martinez reports.
Temperatures may rise just a little bit as the week wears on—but some Chicago-area residents could see the first snowfall of 2018 as early as Wednesday morning.
A clipper system to the area’s far north and west could produce some non-accumulative snowfall by 1 a.m. across the northwestern counties. The snow could continue to fall around 5 a.m. but should be gone by 9 a.m. for the morning commute.
Sub-zero wind chills will continue until Friday with a warm-up starting Sunday with a high of 33 degrees—but with a chance of snow showers.
