Video: Anthony Rizzo Shows Off His Musical Chops

Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo made waves when he put on an impromptu piano performance during spring training, but now the musically-inclined slugger is back at it again in a new video he posted Friday.

Rizzo, who performed a couple of Adele songs and the Train tune “Drops of Jupiter” at the Cubs’ spring training complex in Arizona earlier this year, returned to the piano and brought a special guest accompanying him on the drums.

In the video posted to Instagram, Rizzo and his dad John (who last made waves with a hilarious, endearing reaction to his son's World Series victory) play an instrumental version of Coldplay’s "The Scientist." [[402056975, C]]

While we will give full marks to Rizzo for his piano abilities, the elder Rizzo’s drum skills are definitely up to snuff here as well. The duo works well together, and we don’t doubt that after an offseason of working together on their skills, they’ll be ready to put on a heck of a show when the Cubs reconvene in Arizona in February.
