After earlier severe weather in the Chicago area, another round of storms is expected to develop this evening.
A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for northern Kenosha County until 9:30 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.
The storm could pack quarter-size hail and wind gusts in excess of 60 miles per hour, according to officials. Milwaukee County, Racine County, and parts of Walworth and Waukesha County are also included in the warning.
A previously issued warning for northern Kendall County and southeastern Kane County was allowed to expire.
An earlier severe thunderstorm warning for northwestern LaSalle County was allowed to expire.
Severe thunderstorm warnings were issued earlier in the afternoon in multiple counties, with Will and Cook counties both hit especially hard by large hail, gusty winds and heavy rain.
The rain led to a flood warning in Cook County, according to the National Weather Service.
Local
Rotation spotted on radar led to a brief tornado warning in McHenry County, though no official reports of a touchdown were made by trained spotters. Another tornado warning was issued in LaPorte County, with that storm quickly pushing into Michigan.

Wednesday: More storm chances
While much of Wednesday was expected to remain dry, the active weather pattern could continue Wednesday afternoon and evening, Roman said.
According to the National Weather Service, Wednesday's storms also have the potential to turn strong or severe.
Temperatures Wednesday will see a wider range, with highs in the low 70s to low 80s, the NWS said.
Thursday, more rain chances return, forecast models show. Cooler temperatures are set to end the week, Roman said.
