Target Plans Same-Day Delivery Service

Target is taking aim at same day delivery in its effort to compete with Amazon. The retail giant is buying the delivery service called Shipt for $550 million dollars. The deal will eventually allow target customers to order groceries and other products online, then have them delivered to their homes from nearby Target stores. Target expects the majority of its stores to have same day delivery, by next year’s holiday shopping season.
