The Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle may mark the start of running season in Chicago, but that doesn't mean you have to run the race. Now, you can walk it.
The annual 8K event, which takes place April 2 in Chicago, is offering up a new feature this year where participants can instead choose to do a 2-mile Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle walk.
The untimed walk will take participants through "a scenic 2 mile course along Chicago's lakefront, starting and finishing in the same location as the 8K run."
Registration for the walk sits at $35 and will close once the event hits 1,500 participants.
The Shamrock Shuffle 8K is the largest of its kind in the world and the second largest race in Chicago after the Bank of America Chicago Marathon.
Entry to the event will be open until March 29, but early registration will offer discounted prices.
