NBC 5’s Brant Miller has the latest weather forecast.
Several Flash Flood Warnings have been issued for northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana after heavy rains inundated the area.
The newest flood warning was issued for five different counties, and will last through 4:45 a.m., according to the National Weather Service.
Eastern Kankakee County in Illinois, along with Newton, Porter, Lake, and Jasper counties in northwest Indiana are among the counties under the flood warnings.
A Flash Flood Warning is also in effect until 1 a.m. for eastern Will County and southeastern Cook County in Illinois, as well as northwestern Lake County in Indiana, according to the National Weather Service.
Slow-moving storms in the area have caused heavy rains and could potentially impact low-lying roads and other areas, according to the warning. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly in the affected areas.
Another Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for central LaPorte County in northwest Indiana until 11 p.m. Quarter-size hail is possible with the storms.

A separate warning that had covered counties south of that area has been canceled, according to the National Weather Service.
