Queen Latifah Offers “I Quit” Video Girl a Gig

"Are you kidding me?" said Marina Shifrin. "Yeah I'm interested!"

Looks like it might not be a bad idea to quit your job in a spectacular way.

A couple of days after the video of Chicago native Marina Shifrin quitting her job while dancing to Kanye West's "Gone" went viral, she's been offered another gig.

Talk show host Queen Latifah offered the viral star a job as a digital content producer for her website when she appeared on the "The Queen Latifah Show" Thursday to talk about the resignation video.

"I want to be surrounded by cool, creative, interesting people," Queen Latifah said. "Maybe I can hook you up with a gig."

The newly unemployed, and now part-time stand-up comedienne at first thought Queen Latifah was joking then expressed interest.

"Are you kidding me?" she said. "Yeah I'm interested!"

Queen Latifah offered to take her backstage to talk about the gig.

In the viral video, Shifrin is seen resigning from her job creating news segments for Taiwan-based Next Media Animation.

As for the questionable way she quit her job, Shifrin says she doesn't regret it.

"Sometimes I think you need to forcefully close one door in order for another to open a little easier," Shifrin said on the program.
