Purple Heart Returned to Chicago Family for WWII Fighter Pilot

The Illinois Treasurer’s Office is on a mission to reunite unclaimed military medals with soldiers’ families. On Monday, Barbara Martens received the long-lost Purple Heart earned by her uncle–a Chicago fighter pilot who earned it in World War II. NBC 5’s Lauren Petty has the story.
